This was so much fun to speak at the mentoring panel at the Lipoprotein Metabolism Gordon Research Conferences! Zorina Galis was a riot! Jesse Williams and I had to keep up 😀! Thank you Kelsey Jarrett, Ph.D. for mediating the discussion and to Gage Stuttgen and Hayley Powers for co-organizing GRS. At least we did not sing or dance! Thank you Marlys Koschinsky and Daisy Sahoo for a wonderful conference and a chance to catch-up with old friends and make new ones. Let me nominate my #AHA funded postdoc Minzhi Yu for co-organizing Lipoprotein Metabolism Gordon Research Seminar in 2026 to Thomas Vallim. Looking forward to 2026! P.S. See what t-shirt I am sporting Jill Kinzer, Ph.D. 😀 University of Michigan College of Pharmacy, @Umich PharmSci

I am so proud of Ziyun for defending her thesis PharmSci at University of Michigan and University of Michigan College of Pharmacy! Thank you FDA OGD for the financial support for this project. We enjoyed interactions with Yan Wang, Xiaoming Xu, Jiwen Zheng, and Simulations Plus, Inc. More papers are coming! Ziyun is looking for a job. She is an excellent physical chemist, strong analytical chemist and has a growing knowledge of PK modeling, a rare combination of qualities in pharmaceutical scientist now! She works hard, reads literature and has a can do attitude!

For my generic and biosimilar friends (especially industry folks). Come in person to discuss drug-device combination challenges. Last CRCG drug-device workshop had 1200+ participants online, but it is in-person participants who are having all the fun :-)!

I am very proud of Kristen Hong Dorsey, our Schwendeman's lab at PharmSci at University of Michigan newly minted PhD graduate! Kristen is an excellent, hardworking and highly collaborative scientist with experience in protein/peptide/nanoparticle formulations, analytical characterization, LNPs for RNA delivery, cell culture, pharmacology and PK studies. She is looking for a industry job and will appreciate referrals!
