AEW Dynasty results, live streaming match coverage (2024)

All Elite Wrestling returns to pay-per-view TONIGHT (Sun., April 21, 2024) with their new Dynasty PPV. The show comes our way from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis at 8pm ET.

A Zero Hour pre-show will stream live and free starting at 6:30pm Eastern on All Elite’s YouTube channel, Bleacher Report, and right here at Cageside Seats.

The main card can be purchased on Bleacher Report, Triller TV, and other streaming outlets as well as on traditional PPV.

We’ll have predictions from the staff for every match here, and a preview for the entire show here.

Cageside Seats will provide LIVE match-by-match coverage of Dynasty below, beginning with the first match of the night and right on through to the main event.

AEW DYNASTY LIVE BLOG & MATCH COVERAGE

As usual as dead from anti-anxiety meds and the old gang grasping for air that’s not there. Seeking out my own authentic season in hell, though it doesn’t feel quite as pompous, at least not as I start to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

Matt Sydal vs. Trent Beretta

Sydal pulling ahead early, corkscrew standing moonsault for two! Beretta with a sheerdrop brainbuster, pressing the attack but when he goes up top Matt trips him into the turnbuckles and hits an Air Raid Crash after! Going up top, diving Meteora connects... NOPE!

Trent takes him up top, Gallon Throw into the turnbuckles, Gotch piledriver... STILL NO! Beretta charges in with the Busaiku Knee, falling back, Hell’s Gate...

Trent Beretta wins by submission with Hell’s Gate.

Post-match, referee Mike Posey has to pull Trent off of the hold as Mike Sydal hits the ring to check on his brother! Trent sends Mike packing and beats Matt down until Chuck Taylor makes the save!

Trent gets on the mic and says he doesn’t know what Chuck’s problem is, he’s not answering texts and he’s being kind of a prick, and he’s giving him until Dynamite to tell him where he stands.

Orange Cassidy makes his entrance as Trent leaves and they have a tense moment, Beretta slipping away as Katsuyori Shibata makes his entrance.

Katsuyori Shibata & Orange Cassidy vs. Shane Taylor Productions (Lee Moriarty & Shane Taylor)

Anthony Ogogo is on commentary for this one.

Cassidy and Moriarty to start, collar and elbow, back and forth on a wristlock,Lee takes him down, Orange pops up and reverses, the usual. Eventually Shibata comes in, working Moriarty over, kick to the spine, clear Taylor off the apron, but he throws Lee in and Katsuyori wants to fight Shane!

Circling, trading chops, Shibata cuts him down with leg kicks, Orange in, getting into it with Lee on the floor, breaking the count with style and rolling back out to take him down while Shane Taylor argues with the referee! Shibata stops Ogogo from interferening, back inside and Shane traps Orange in the corner for a big chop!

Moriarty in, Cobra Twist applied, Eye of the Storm follows... NOT ENOUGH! Shibata back in, half-halch suplex for two, Cobra Twist, Taylor comes in and breaks it up with a big chop to the back! Katsuyori hauls off a huge overhand chop, tag to Orange, backslide, cover for two!

Float over, satellite DDT, Orange Cassidy is fired up! Shane in, ducking and dodging, big headbutt, Shibata saves him from the package piledriver by choking Taylor out! Blasting Ogogo with a knee, Penalty Kick for Shane, Lee takes him out with a knee, trading pins with Orange!

Orange Punch connects...

Katsuyori Shibata & Orange Cassidy win by pinfall with an Orange Punch from Cassidy on Lee Moriarty.

Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens, Daddy Ass, & “Platinum” Max Caster) (AEW) vs. Bullet Club Gold (Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, & “Switchblade” Jay White) (ROH) (AEW World Trios / ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship Unification Match)

Little distracted, Daddy Ass hugs Colten and then pops him one, not falling for his ruse! Caster tags in, right hands, back elbow, to the floor and the Bang Bang Gang work Platinum Max over! Back inside, Bowens tags in, punching away, off the ropes, Austin ducks a lariat but gets caught on the rebound by a strike rush.

Rolling elbow, but Anthony gets dropkicked to the floor! White with a gourdbuster into the apron, back inside, cover for two! Keeping Bowens isolated, working him over, he passes Austin into the turnbuckles, back suplex, a path is clear... TAG TO BILLY!

Daddy Ass in hot, off the ropes, Colten has the Fameasser scouted, Austin eats the One and Only! Colten hits a Fameasser on his dad... NOPE! 3:10 to Yuma... DADDY ASS KICKS OUT! Switchblade clears the ring, he wants a sleeper on Billy but Gunn counters and hits the Fameasser! Caster with the Mic Drop, plancha to the floor, Dad with the cover... STILL NO!

Switchblade turns it around...

Bullet Club Gold win by pinfall with Blade Runner from White on Daddy Ass, unifying the AEW and ROH trios championships.

The main show opens with the usual promo package running our big matches down.

Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. PAC (AEW Continental Championship)

PAC with a wristlock, Okada reverses, headlock takeover from the Bastard! A little back and forth, PAC thrown to the floor, Kazuchika off the ropes, the Bastard ducks him, back inside, tijeras sends Okada flying! Off the ropes, PAC with the corkscrew tope and he goes to work throwing the Rainmaker into the barricade! Fighting up in the turnbuckles, PAC gets him... AVALANCHE BRAINBUSTER ONLY GETS TWO!

Back to the floor, Okada working him over, tossing him into the barricades, back inside, trading elbows, to the apron, shoulder block, PAC slingshots back in, off the ropes, Kazuchika takes him out with a dropkick! Hanging DDT off the barricade, Okada breaks the count, soon enough PAC takes control again, missile dropkick gets two.

Big German suplex, Okada pops up, shotgun dropkick, hits the Reverse Neckbreaker... ONLY TWO! Everest German from the Bastard... NOT ENOUGH TO KEEP THE RAINMAKER DOWN! Up top, thinking Black Arrow... BUT OKADA ROLLS AWAY! Tombstone Piledriver puts PAC down, wrist control, Rainmaker reversed into a back press... NOPE!

Victory roll, still no, fireman’s carry, reversed into a Brutalizer with Okada still standing! Tombstone reversed, the Bastard hits a Tombstone Piledriver of his own! Up top, Kazuchika grabs referee Paul Turner’s leg and PAC climbs down to put boots to him! Up top, Black Arrow... THE KNEES ARE UP!

Wristlock...

Kazuchika Okada wins by pinfall with a Rainmaker to retain the AEW Continental Championship.

Adam Copeland, Eddie Kingston, & Mark Briscoe vs. House of Black (Brody King, Buddy Matthews, & Malakai Black)

Briscoe and Black to start, circling, collar and elbow, arm drag, tag to Matthews, soon enough it’s Kingston and King trading vicious chops in the middle of the ring! Eddie ducks an elbow drop, kicks and chops, Brody fires up but gets cut off by an enzuigiri and Kingston hits the machine gun chops in the corner!

Back and forth, soon enough Briscoe on Buddy, directing traffic on the apron, a knee sets Mark up for a Blu-Ray into the barricade from King! Back inside, Malakai working him over, nearfall! Copeland with the tag, looking for the Impaler on Brody, no deal, setting him up top, everybody clustering up, Black and Matthews powerbomb the other two but Adam superplexes Brody!

Match breaks down into “everybody do something cool” territory, everybody hammering King, Copeland with a cover... NOT ENOUGH! Triplicate spears on the House of Black, Adam standing tall in the ring, waiting for Malakai to rise, he charges in... BLACK SPITS THE MIST! BLACK MASS CONNECTS! IT’S OVER!

House of Black win by pinfall with Black Mass from Malakai Black on Adam Copeland.

Julia Hart (c) vs. Willow Nightingale (AEW TBS Championship)

Stokely Hathaway is on commentary for this one.

Nightingale cuts her off and beats her down, action to the floor, Hart puts her over the timerkeeper’s barricade and works her over! Back inside, smashing Willow’s head into the mat over and over, following it up with a Camel Clutch, Nightingale fights out, catches her with a sleeper hold, upkicks break!

Julia stomping away, off the ropes, Willow with a spinebuster... NOPE! Hart with the crucifix neck crank, Nightingale stands up, superkicks from the champion, challenger laying chops in, big falling lariat and the straps are down! Gutwrench...

Willow Nightingale wins by pinfall with the Doctor Bomb, becoming your new AEW TBS Champion.

Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway celebrate with the new champion until of course inevitably...

Mercedes Mone makes her entrance.

They have a staredown about it.

A house ad for Double or Nothing follows, logically enough.

Kyle O’Reilly vs. Roderick Strong (c) (AEW International Championship)

Circling, collar and elbow, struggling around the ring, referee Paul Turner calls for the break when they get in the ropes, Wristlock from Strong, drop toehold counters, riding him, reversed, headlock takeover, champion in control. O’Reilly with an ankle lock, Roddy grabs the ropes and Kyle drops a knee on his shoulder!

Arm wringer, into the corner, Strong gets him with the pendulum backbreaker! Trading nearfall attempts, Roderick with a leg lariat, cover for two! Back body drop to the apron, O’Reilly snaps his arm over the ropes, targeting the arm, off the ropes, Roddy catches a knee and hits the backbreaker and both men are down!

Jockeying for position in the turnbuckles, Strong gets the turnbuckle backbreaker! Right hands on the mat, backing KOR into the ropes, choking him, Turner counts him off and Roddy poses for the crowd! Trading elbows, Rock Bottom backbreaker but Strong desperately needs the breather! Another backbreaker, but Kyle gets himself together, strings together a LOT of strikes, Roderick down in the corner!

Shoulder armbreaker into a spinebuster and then rolling right into a kneebar but Strong gets the ropes! Roddy regains control with another backbreaker, up top, superplex, double pin, small package. no deal! Rebound, stereo lariats, both men down! Trading strikes, chops for kicks, KOR snaps his arm on the apron!

Back inside, Wardlow appears on the apron, referee Paul Turner sends him packing and Roddy almost takes it with a small package! Crucifix for Kyle, Strong counters into the fireman’s carry gutbuster but O’Reilly rebounds into a lariat! Brainbuster connects... NOPE!

Cross armbar, Roddy grabbing his elbow to block, clasping his hands! Strong fights out, sets him up...

Roderick Strong wins by pinfall with End of Heartache, retaining the AEW International Championship.

Post-match, Adam Cole and the Kingdom come to the stage and Cole gets out of the wheelchair and walks into the ring under his own power!

Cole eyeballs Wardlow something fierce on his way to embracing Roddy and then again on their way out.

Chris Jericho vs. HOOK (c) (FTW Championship)

HOOK with a wristlock, side headlock, to the takeover, Jericho with chops, off the ropes, HOOK with a suplex, a Tazplex, lariat sends Chris to the floor! To the barricade, Jericho turns it around, pulling the champion over to the announce desk and smashing his face right in front of his father!

Y2J gets a table out from under the ring and sets it up, HOOK slips out of a powerbomb and German suplexes Chris on the floor, cover... NOPE! Smashing Jericho with a trash can lid, Chris turns him around, DDT on the lid, cover for two! Back inside, body blows on the apron... TAZPLEX OFF THE APRON AND THROUGH THE TABLE!

Back inside, Everest German suplex, Jericho regains control, avalanche Frankensteiner, HOOK puts a trash can on his head and wallops him with a kendo stick, Tazplex, cover... STILL NO! Table leaned in the corner, northern lights suplex gets a codebreaker! Trading forearms, Chris rakes the eyes and fires off a lariat!

Redrum locked in, Jericho stumbles at the ropes before turning and putting HOOK through a table leaned in the corner! Walls of Jericho, HOOK reverses to a pin, only two! Back to Redrum, Chris breaks it with a low blow, Judas Effect... HOOK KICKED OUT! A second is all but inevitable... BUT HOOK KICKS OUT OF A SECOND JUDAS EFFECT AS WELL!

Jericho goes and gets Floyd... AND WHACKS HOOK FULL-FORCE IN THE JAW!

Chris Jericho wins by pinfall with a baseball bat to the jaw, becoming your new FTW Champion.

Post-match, Taz comes to ringside and warns Jericho off as medics check on HOOK.

Toni Storm (c) vs. Thunder Rosa (AEW Women’s World Championship)

Rosa takes her mask off to reveal that she’s not wearing her usual facepaint! Storm clobbering her in the corner, Thunder firing back with axhandles and chops, Toni throwing her across the ring! Tornillo to the floor, back inside, crossface strikes on the champion!

Storm takes her down, walking on her back, dropping knees to the spine, Rosa with a sunset flip powerbomb out of the corner... NOPE! Crucifix driver... STILL NO! Death Valley Driver on the apron, champion comes back in the ring with a DDT, victory roll into a double stomp, cover for two!

Toni with a spinebuster, only a nearfall, trading slaps to the chops, German suplex but Thunder pops up and returns the favor, leaving both women down and out! Mariah May up on the apron, Deonna Purrazzo cuts her off and electric chair facebusters her into the apron!

She puts Luther into the steel steps and then brawls with a recovered May! In the ring, Storm with a German suplex, black and white, running hip attack in the corner... THUNDER ROSA KICKS OUT OF STORM ZERO! Thunder building up a head of steam, Cobra Clutch choke, Toni crawling for the ropes and she forces the break!

Rosa drags her back into the middle of the ring, Toni kicks her in the lady garden, gets her up...

Toni Storm wins by pinfall with Storm Zero, retaining the AEW Women’s World Championship.

“American Dragon” Bryan Danielson vs. Will Ospreay

Don Callis is on commentary for this one.

Both men soaking in the atmosphere initially, feeling out, test of strength, Danielson rolls him around, top wristlock takedown, side headlock takeover, headscissors counter, stalemate! Off the ropes, fast-pace, trading trips, trading kicks, chop from Dragon, Ospreay handsprings, Bryan ducks under, stalemate!

Will picks a leg, Danielson flips him the bird and Ospreay gets mad, laying chops in! Bryan getting fired up, trading chops, ankle pick into an ankle lock, off the ropes, Ospreay with a tijeras! Danielson uppercuts in the corner, Will passes him aside, knocks him to the floor with a big boot!

Ospreay fired up, plancha takes Dragon out! Back inside, springboard... DANIELSON CUTS HIM OUT OF MIDAIR WITH A LIVER KICK! Drawing Will up, knees in the clinch, whip across, Ktichen Sink knees! Bryan with the modified figure four leglock, proof he learned SOMETHING from Shawn Michaels, rolling him around for body blows, adding a grounded octopus to the mix but Ospreay rolls to the ropes for the break!

Will backing him off with chops, Bryan turns him around into the corner, lighting him up with quick combinations, backflip up and over, Ospreay ducks the Axe Bomber, handspring kick takes Danielson out! Springboard elbow, cover for two! Kicks send Bryan to the floor, Will up top... CORKSCREW MOONSAULT TO THE FLOOR!

Back inside, calling for it... DRAGON COUNTERS HIDDEN BLADE WITH A KICK TO THE ELBOW! Another arm kick, a Tiger suplex... NOPE! Overhead elbows, underhooks... CATTLE MUTILATION IS LOCKED ON BUT WILL GETS TO THE ROPES! Avalanche Frankensteiner connects but Ospreay lands on his feet and he wants more!

Front kick, crescent kick, Tiger Driver... THE AMERICAN DRAGON KICKS OUT! Headed up top, Bryan cuts him off! Will struggling but he manages to get Danielson, stomps in the ropes, referee Bryce Remsburg warns him off, action to the apron, Tiger Driver... DANIELSON BEATS THE COUNT!

Will cuts him off, OsCutter... NOPE! A second try, Bryan catches him, LeBell Lock countered, but a guillotine sinks in! Dragon floats over, La Mistica into the LeBell Lock in the middle of the ring Will has nowhere to go! Shifting gears to wrenching the far arm... BUT OSPREAY GETS THE ROPES!

Will gets him up, Bryan reverses, Hurricanrana... WILL OSPREAY COMES WITHIN AN INCH OF HIS LIFE OF LOSING! German suplex, Ospreay lands on his feet, duck the Hidden Blade, Busaiku Knee... STILL WILL OSPREAY KICKS OUT! Danielson says he’s going to kick his f*cking head in and grabs his hands and stomps the face!

Omoplata applied but Ospreay is roaring, animalistic, trying to block but Danielson hooks his mouth! Will turns him around, falling elbows, raining them down and Dragon grabs a triangle choke! Short powerbomb counters but Bryan keeps the hold in1 Overhead elbows, Ospreay powers up... STYLES CLASH BUT BOTH MEN ARE DOWN AND STRUGGLING!

German suplex, Ospreay fires up, Hidden Blade connects, Will goes for the OsCutter... BUSAIKU KNEE TO THE JAW TO COUNTER! Danielson pulls himself up, “Yes!”, but Will is ready, underhooks... TIGER DRIVER ‘91! Bryan’s arm is limp and Bryce calls for the doctor but Ospreay presses the attack...

Will Ospreay wins by pinfall with Hidden Blade.

FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson) (AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals Ladder Match)

Brawling to start, wild punches, Bucks to the floor for a ladder, clearing FTR out, back inside, ladder upright, FTR back in the ring, they knock the ladder over, Dax Death Valley Drivers a Buck into the ladder and Cash goes to the floor for tables! Bucks wrangling a ladder again, Harwood busted open as Matthew hammers him with punches! Nicholas with chairshots!

Trapping Dax in a ladder, smashing it with the chair, throwing the chair at Cash when he comes back into the ring! Whipping Wheeler into a ladder while a referee checks the cut on Harwood’s head and gives him the all-clear back into the ring, where Matthew punches the wound more!

Fighting on the floor, EVP Trigger on the ladder! Double suplex on Dax countered, FTR suplex them back inside! Cash running hot, high-angle powerslam on Nicholas! Trapping Matthew until a ladder, climbing, Nicholas cuts him off, Harwood grabs him, slingshot powerbomb but Matthew recovers and superkicks him!

Suicide dive from Cash puts the elder Buck through the table in the aisle! Dax kicks Nicholas, reversed, Frankensteiner off the apron and into a table! All four men climbing, Matthew is the last one standing, reaching for belts but Harwood cuts him off and they hit Shatter Machine on him!

Nicholas with a chair, wailing on FTR with it, they recover, Dax climbs one ladder opposite Nicholas, superplex... DIVING SPLASH FROM CASH, THEY GOT THE POWERPLEX! 450 splash trhough a table from Nicholas, piledriver into a ladder from Dax, all four men down in the wreckage on the floor!

Harwood sets up a ladder, climbing, Nicholas appears on the apron and springboards to join him, sunset flip powerbomb off the ladder! Wheeler back in, suicide dive wipes the younger Buck out something fierce! Dax and Nicholas climbing a ladder to the tune of a “Please be careful!” chant like this is the cutest Chikara crowd you ever did see, Harwood smashes him with the belts but a masked man jumps the barricade and runs in!

Security unmasks him... IT’S “SCAPEGOAT” JACK PERRY! THE BUCKS GRAB THE TITLES!

Young Bucks win by retrieving the titles, becoming your new AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Samoa Joe vs. Shane “Swerve” Strickland (AEW World Championship)

Collar and elbow, Strickland backs him into the corner and feints a kick on the break. Joe clobbers him with a knee to the breadbasket and then a chop to the throat, to the floor, slamming Swerve into the desk! Samoa pulls the padding up off the floor and Strickland dives on him with the Sasuke Special!

Joe gets him up for the Muscle Buster, Shane slips out and Samoa settles for the snap scoop powerslam! Joe backing him into the corner with jabs, Strickland fighting back but Samoa sweeps his leg out from under him! Powerdrive elbow for two, kneeling neck crank to grind Swerve down.

Fighting on the floor, up on the apron, Strickland snaps his left arm over the top rope and goes to work, tearing the cover off the turnbuckle before wrenching the arm more. Divorce Court gets a nearfall, Swerve with strikes, Joe gets the Coquina Clutch but he slips out immediately and hits a rolling thunder reverse STO... NOPE!

Up top, working the elbow, avalanche reverse Divorce Court to the mat! Short armscissors transitions to the triangle choke, Joe fires up, Muscle Buster... NOPE! House Call sets up a 450 leg drop, back up top... SWERVE STOMP CAN’T KEEP THE AEW WORLD CHAMPION DOWN! Belt in play, Prince Nana running interference, Samoa gets the Coquina Clutch and falls back!

Strickland clawing, fading, referee Stephon Smith checks him but Swerve isn’t down yet! Coming back, headed up top, Samoa cuts him off, back and forth, Shane off the top...

Shane Strickland wins by pinfall with the Swerve Stomp, becoming your new AEW World Champion!

Swerve celebrates with the people.
